The 1986 Swarovski Christmas Ornaments

Swarovski used a Crystal teardrop component for the 1984, 1987, 1989 Swarovski Christmas Ornaments, and on some of the 1986 Swarovski 'Holiday Etchings' ornies, issued by Giftware Suite.

In 1984, a RARE Fleur De Lis ornament was issued on a teardrop component & in 1985, etched trees were used.

There are 11 'known' 1986 Holiday Etchings & you never know when more of them will be found. These 11 'Holiday Etchings' are among the rarest of Swarovski Ornaments.

There were 4 Angels, 3 Bells, a Dove,  Holly,  a Snowflake design, and a Peace ornament on various shapes.   The  limited editions have the year 1986 etched on them below the featured design & come packaged in white velvet bags in white Giftware Suite boxes.   The product numbers on the boxes are 5 digit numbers, beginning with "9".  They were only available in the USA at the time of production, making them more sought after by our Crystal Fanatics.

These ornaments were also produced with the same design and shape, but do NOT include the etched 1986 on them; therefore, they are not considered Limited Editions.  They were issued by Kristallwelten & sometimes found packaged in red, blue, or green vinyl-like boxes.

Other corporations have also been known to utilize the Teardrop component ornament as a promotional item for their firm.

Note to our Crystal Fanatics: if 1986 Swarovski Ornaments are on your Christmas Wish List, and you want the Limited Editions, make sure the etched 1986 is visible on the ornament. Truthfully, I'd be happy to have any of these issues.

The Swarovski Kris Bears

39 or so Kris Bears have been issued by Swarovski, as part of the Crystal Moments product line. I really don't know why they just do not have their own individual product line, like the Lovlots, since there are so many of them. Each figurine depicts a certain occasion, message an activity. Older issues included picture frames and a working clock. One set of issues portrayed bears from different countries. And, of course, there are the Christmas ornaments. 

The newest lot issued during 2011 include:

A Rose For You - Clear crystal bears holding a rose in Bordeaux and a silver-tone metal stem, retailing at $165.

You and I - two faceted clear crystal bears depicted in a marriage ceremony; the grrom's bow tie is in Light Sapphire Satin crystal & she carries a Violet crystal flower with Amethyst details. They also retail for $165.

Ltd. Edition Halloween - Trick or treat! Clear crystal, Halloween Kris Bear carries a vibrant Red Topaz crystal pumpkin lantern with a silver-tone metal handle. Only Available While supplies last, retailing at $100, and will retire at year end.


Ltd. Edition Annual Edition Christmas Bear - dated,standing Christmas Bear carrying a decorated green crystal Christmas Tree. He also retires at the end of the year and retails for $100.

• Sapphire - 2011 Only 2,000 produced, Available on the Steiff USA website. Features a deep blue silk coat; paws decorated with crystal stones and a crystal collar is around her neck. Steiff button with label in her ear. Comes with numbered COA in a special gift box.
• Krystina - 2011 Jet Black Coat of Mohair, decorated with a Swarovski Crystal Stone Collar, encompassing more than 100 stones. The Swarovski Cadillac Ornaments

The first of the Cadillac Ornaments was issued in 1996 in a teardrop-shaped Swarovski crystal, customized for the Cadillac corporation, and designed with an etched Christmas tree, the word "Cadillac", and the year 1996. 
Other Cadillac ornaments were issued, also utilizing the teardrop crystal, as follows:

• The 1997 Swarovski Cadillac ornament features an etched snowman.
• The 1998 Swarovski Cadillac ornament has bells etched on the crystal teardrop.
• The 1999 Swarovski Cadillac ornament features a wreath etching.
• And, the 2000 Swarovski Cadillac Ornament is etched with a penguin. 

Each of the ornaments contain the word Cadillac, with the issue year below and all are packaged in similar green boxes, with a  red velvet-like lining on the inside.

Other corporations have also been known to utilize the Teardrop component ornament as a promotional item for their firm.
